Angel Reese: Most Consecutive Double-Doubles in WNBA History

Angel Reese broke the record for most consecutive doubles-doubles in WNBA history. She surpassed Candace Parker at the head of the list after a 17 point and 14 rebound performance against the Seattle Storm. The Sky lost the game 71-84 but Reese left it all out out there, playing all 40 minutes. She also contributed on the defensive end with 4 steals. With this performance, she jumps to the top of my Rookie of the Year rankings. Watch her make history below.

She’s more than doubled the rookie record for the most consecutive double-doubles which was 6. It’s easy to forget that Reese is only a rookie because of the amount her name is in the limelight. Her dominant play has created high expectations. After many were unsure about her role in the WNBA, it’s now clear that she is a star. Her tenacity can’t be taught and the scoring is getting better every game. Reese is leading the WNBA in rebounds per game and has been selected to the All-Star team. The sky is the limit for Angel Reese.
