Sabrina Ionescu led the way for the New York Liberty with 31 points, 9 assists and 6 three pointers as they defeated the LA Sparks 93-80. Courtney Vandersloot has been out due to personal reasons and Ionescu has stepped up for her team. Betnijah-Laney Hamilton was also out, allowing Ionescu to have the ball in her hands even more than usual. Her 9 assists today are the second most she’s had all season and makes it the fourth game in a row where she has finished with at least 8 assists.

After a heartbreaking loss against the Phoenix Mercury, Ionescu came out with a sense of purpose. She looked like one of the most complete players in the league, notching a season high in points and three pointers made on efficient shooting, while almost recording a double-double. When Ionescu and Jones play at their best the Liberty are nearly unstoppable. Sabrina had a career high in multiple catergories standing out the most in a great day of basketball in the WNBA.
